The portrait shifted between male and female during the painting process, reflecting the inner work I have been doing to balance divine masculine and feminine energy. This spirit guide assists in healing and balancing the two—the action and giving energy of the masculine and the receptive nurturing qualities of the feminine. Both are equal and necessary in different circumstances. This fluid nature is a natural state of balance and integral to the soul’s evolution.
